First and Emergency Aid- Program Educational Aims
PEA 1: To possess up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge, skills, and behaviors; to follow changes and developments by adopting lifelong learning, improving and continually renewing oneself; and to keep up with innovations in science and technology in order to fulfill the roles and functions of Emergency Health Services.
PEA 2: To meet the pre-hospital healthcare needs of individuals, families, and society with a holistic approach by using information and health technologies in line with the requirements of the profession.
PEA 3:To take roles in education, management, and research in the field of emergency healthcare by carrying out duties, authorities, and responsibilities in accordance with professional values and ethical principles.
PEA 4: To have the awareness to work in collaboration—primarily with one’s own team members and among other healthcare disciplines—while performing roles and functions.
Program Educational Objectives
To enhance the quality of healthcare services by training first and emergency aid technicians who can apply the intervention methods and equipment used in emergency healthcare; effectively use technology in pre-hospital emergency services; take responsibility in teamwork and have strong communication skills; and sustain their professional development.
