The main purpose of the Electroneurophysiology program is to train technical personnel in the use of neurophysiological methods used to diagnose the disorders followed by central nervous system disorders. Health Technicians working in this field are the personnel applying electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), all night and day sleep recordings and evoked potentials processes under the supervision of a specialist. Health Technicians perform the following tasks for EEG/EMG/sleep recordings/evoked potentials processes: Preparing the necessary devices, electrodes and materials, preparing the operation area, making the final checks by operating the relevant devices, keeping the devices ready by opening, preparing the electrodes, EMG needles, nasal cannula, thermistor, belt, finger probe and drugs, ensuring that the informed consent forms are filled in, informing the patient about the procedure, assisting the physician during the EMG procedure, placing the electrodes appropriately, ensuring the device calibration and recording in accordance with the protocol, providing the maintenance and cleaning of the devices and materials used, putting them in their places, keeping all records related to the procedures performed, preparing and presenting reports. Those completing the program receive the Associate Degree Diploma and the title of Health Technician. If those who have completed the "Electroneurophysiology" program become successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by OSYM, they can benefit from the vertical transfer to Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services undergraduate program. Graduates can work in Electroencephalography, Arousal Potentials and Sleep Units of Public or Private Hospitals and Polyclinics under the supervision and control of the specialist of Neurology, ENT, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Chest Diseases and Physiology.
