The Department of Dental Services includes an associate degree program that trains qualified health technicians who can work in the field of oral and dental health services and who have professional knowledge and practical skills.
The Department of Dental Services aims to train individuals who have the basic professional knowledge, clinical practice skills, and healthcare service responsibility required by oral and dental health services. Through the education provided in the department, students are expected to gain competence in patient preparation, clinical organization, sterilization, support for the treatment process, and preventive oral and dental health practices in dental services.
The education provided in the department is structured to enable students to acquire the basic professional knowledge and skills needed to take part in the delivery of oral and dental health services. Theoretical courses are supported by applied education processes to improve students’ professional competencies.
Through clinical practice processes, students gain experience in recognizing the instruments and equipment used in dental services, supporting patient preparation, participating in sterilization processes, and adapting to clinical operations.
