  • Knows the basic structure of the human body; the definitions and terms of its organs and systems; their locations, anatomical relations, and functions.
  • Has knowledge of health protection, system-specific diseases, and first aid.
  • Performs intravenous access and uses emergency drugs and fluids designated by the ministry.
  • Performs basic and advanced airway and oxygen applications, including endotracheal intubation.
  • Assesses the patient/injured person and identifies the problem; ensures the patient is prepared for transfer and provides transport using appropriate techniques.
  • Provides trauma stabilization and stabilization for fractures, dislocations, and sprains; performs wound closure and simple bleeding control.
  • Performs ECG recording and rhythm evaluation.
  • Performs monitoring and defibrillation.
  • Applies basic life support protocols; assists with delivery in emergency birth situations.
  • Keeps the ambulance ready for use in terms of technical and medical equipment and supplies, and drives the ambulance when necessary.
  • Uses the communication network correctly and rapidly at all stages of duty; takes necessary precautions for scene, vehicle, and driving safety; applies health protection and safety measures.
  • Has adequate awareness of individual and public health, occupational safety, and environmental protection.
  • Uses information and communication technologies in matters related to the field and conveys professional knowledge through written and oral communication.
  • Communicates at a basic level in a foreign language and uses it in professional practice.
  • Updates the knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the field with a lifelong learning mindset and develops personally and professionally.
  • Understands the basic professional legal regulations related to the field and acts in accordance with social, cultural, and legal rights and responsibilities.
  • Participates in quality management and processes.
